LONDON – November 21, 2025 – WCL, a Zywave company and a global leader in ACORD standards-based solutions, is proud to announce that it has received three distinguished honors at the 2025 ACORD Awards. These awards recognize WCL’s pioneering role in advancing digital transformation and promoting ACORD standards adoption across the insurance and reinsurance markets worldwide.
“These awards underscore WCL’s commitment to innovation and collaboration,” said James Willison, WCL Managing Director. “Our mission has always been to empower the industry with solutions that simplify processes, improve data integrity, and deliver measurable value to our clients.”
ACORD Standards Advancement Award
WCL was recognized for its groundbreaking work in digitizing treaty placements in Bermuda through the implementation of ACORD GRLC ePlacing standards. This initiative introduced a single, common data standard and process for carriers and brokers, enabling automated ingestion of submissions and modeling files, reducing manual rekeying, and improving underwriting efficiency. The solution went live in October 2025, marking a major milestone in the industry’s journey toward straight-through processing.
ACORD Industry Vanguard Award
This award celebrates WCL’s leadership in creating a first-of-its-kind Cedent-to-RI Broker messaging flow using ACORD GRLC standards. By implementing WCL’s enabledAccounting platform, Guy Carpenter and The Hartford achieved automated claims reconciliation, reduced manual intervention, and improved turnaround times for claims settlement. Early results show a 25% improvement in process efficiency and 35% of claims auto-reconciled, delivering tangible benefits to clients and trading partners.
ACORD Implementation Excellence Award
WCL partnered with Liberty Mutual Reinsurance to expand ACORD messaging across multiple European offices, digitizing accounting, settlement, and claims processes. The implementation of WCL’s ACORD gateway and enabledAccounting application has resulted in faster turnaround times, elimination of unallocated cash, and full audit trails for message interactions. This global rollout positions LM Re ahead of market changes under Blueprint Two and sets a new standard for operational excellence.
“Our success is built on collaboration,” said Marc Jackson, WCL Head of Commercial. “These projects demonstrate how WCL works hand-in-hand with clients and partners to deliver solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also prepare the industry for tomorrow.”
Looking Ahead
WCL remains committed to supporting ACORD standards adoption and expansion globally. By continuing to innovate and collaborate, WCL will help the industry achieve greater efficiency, transparency, and resilience in an increasingly digital world.
