WalkerHughes Insurance
in Action
BACKGROUND
When Zach Sibrel joined WalkerHughes, he didn't need to be convinced about Zywave. He had relied on the platform for years at his previous agency and brought that confidence with him during the transition. WalkerHughes has been a Zywave customer for four years now, running nearly the full suite: the benefits products, P&C products, the personalized high-net-worth product, ModMaster, Broker Briefcase (now part of Content Cloud), Client Cloud (Zywave's client portal solution), and miEdge.
For Zach, the bet was simple. A platform this deep in data and this widely adopted elsewhere could do the same at WalkerHughes: drive producer adoption and build the kind of client entrenchment that keeps relationships strong over time.
- Saves producers' time
- Automates cold outreach
- Strong customer support
- Hands-on, responsive Zywave support throughout the pilot
- Collaborative implementation process with active iteration and improvement
- Strong long-term potential with a clear roadmap for continued growth
- Saves producers 10+ hours per week
- Reduces manual prospecting effort
- Potential to generate new business with minimal producer time investment
OPPORTUNITY
Moving to a new agency meant rebuilding workflows and client relationships almost from scratch. Zach needed a platform that could support producer adoption right away, not one that would take years to prove its worth. It also had to carry data deep enough to earn the trust of the middle-market and contractor accounts WalkerHughes serves.
SOLUTION
The Zywave suite is embedded across WalkerHughes day-to-day operations. ModMaster handles the heavy lifting on the agency's sizable contractor book, importing mod worksheets and giving the team the ability to calculate and project future mods with confidence. Broker Briefcase (now part of Content Cloud) gives WalkerHughes producers a centralized hub for content, benchmarking, and compliance data, keeping them equipped for every client conversation. That same content extends into Client Cloud, the firm's client portal, giving clients direct access to the resources their producers already rely on.
What keeps Zach sold on the suite comes down to three things: the depth and maturity of Zywave's data and content, the operational efficiency built into the tools, and the speed with which new data reaches the market.
The breadth and depth of information Zywave has within the system—in Broker Briefcase [now Content Cloud] as well as the client portal—is a key strength. Zywave has been doing it so long their scope of information and library are much more mature and robust than others.
RESULTS
The miEdge platform offers significant time savings in sourcing potential prospects. The ModMaster calculation piece—being able to import Mod worksheets so we can calculate and project future Mods—is another. These types of time-saving capabilities, along with sourcing compliance data for either our team or our clients, are really valuable. Having all the data in one platform is helpful, rather than potentially going to multiple different tools to confirm compliance and regulatory data.
The ModMaster ROI is pretty significant, particularly with our contractor book.
The ability to use the people and resources Zywave has, from what I’ve seen when looking at competitor platforms, and the speed at which Zywave gets data to market for us and for our clients are the two areas where Zywave outperforms their competitors.
