“There is no doubt that Zywave takes work-life balance to a whole new level. The Wauwatosa technology firm’s office includes massage chairs, a fully stocked bar, a cafe and fitness center for employees. See the attached slideshow for photos of Zywave’s unique office space.
The concept of work-life balance has evolved over the years into work-life integration,” said Liz Brooks, director of human resources at Zywave. “Allowing employees to reap the benefits of physical activity as part of the workday is great for all parties in terms of cost savings, productivity and convenience.”
The most popular feature appears to be the massage chairs as Brooks said they always seem to be in use, with several employees waiting to be next.
She said the addition of the cafe was important after the firm’s previous office had not space for employees to socialize.
“Our cafe lets people hang out over lunch, de-stress by playing games or host team events,” she said.
The many features helped the office win a designation as one of Milwaukee’s Coolest Offices by the Milwaukee Business Journal in its 2017 awards program. Zywave is the fourth of 10 firms that have earned that designation in the newspaper’s awards program.”
