You may not realize it, but October is a very active month for people across the country. That also means people are going to need a distraction and ways to get through their fall to-do list. Use your blog to draw their attention with these October blog topics:

  1. Halloween, of course, is the big October holiday people celebrate across the world. Get into the Halloween spirit with safety tips, costume tricks, and ideas for tasty treats.
  2. October has several causes it celebrates, but one of the biggest is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Several benefits races and charity events happen to honor this cause, so make your audience aware of the local happenings so they can hopefully participate.
  3. Fall is when farmers cash in on all of their crops, but what if they lose part of their inventory for some reason? Help your farming clients with the management of their harvest, and remind them the benefits of crop insurance.
  4. Speaking of farms, do you have apple/pumpkin picking or other fall activities in your area? Your blog is a good place to promote local fall activities, especially if some of them involve your partners.
  5. The NBA and NHL recommence in October, which means basketball and hockey will trickle down to the youth level. Provide your readers with equipment suggestions as they prepare for another season, and safety tips with youth sports are always important.
  6. As the weather gets colder, you are going to have to start thinking about winter clothes for you and your kids. Shopping for kids can be a little tricky, though, since their sizes can change within a matter of months.   7. Did you know October is also Financial Planning Month? That gives you an excellent opportunity to provide your audience with some of the great money-saving ideas that you have used to make your agency successful.
  8. Motorcycle season is starting to wind down, now that the weather is more consistent. Does your audience know what they plan to do with their choppers during their winter? If they don’t, give some ideas for where they can store their beloved two-wheelers for the winter.
  9. Is your audience swamped at work as companies reach the final quarters of their fiscal year? They may need a break but not have enough time to take one. Suggest some techniques your audience can stay refreshed during the busy times of the year.
  10. October is also International Walk to School Month. Now that kids have settled back into school, remind parents of the precautions they should encourage their kids to take, like crossing streets and stranger danger.
